MIPIM 2026: A Week in Cannes We Won't Forget

We're back from Cannes. Exhausted, energized, and already thinking about next year.

MIPIM 2026 was our fourth year attending the world's largest real estate event, and honestly? It might have been our best one yet.

MIPIM 2026 in numbers

Over 25,000 real estate professionals from around the world descended on the Palais des Festivals, for five days of non-stop conversations, demos, and deals. With around 2,600 exhibitors, the energy was palpable from the moment the doors opened.

For us at Onyx, it meant hundreds of conversations at booth P1-E1 (right next to the main entrance, you really couldn't miss us), dozens of live demos, and a pipeline of hot leads we're already diving into back in Montreal.

Developers from across the continent

The Europeans came ready to talk. We spent most of our time with developers from Poland, Belarus, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Albania, and Luxembourg. These are teams managing massive residential and mixed-use projects who need better tools to streamline their operations.

The conversations weren't surface-level either. People wanted to see how we handle inventory management across multiple towers, how our CRM integrates with their existing tech stack, and what post-sale service actually looks like at scale.

But it wasn't just about customers. We also connected with potential partners: architects, resellers, platforms that could integrate directly with Onyx. The real estate ecosystem is evolving fast, and it's clear that the winners will be the ones who can connect the dots between sales, leasing, construction, and long-term service.

The people who made P1-E1 happen

A massive thank you to the teams who made booth P1-E1 what it was:

Smartpixel our forever MIPIM crew. Four years in and we still can't imagine doing this without you.

‍• Reflective Works: those renderings brought projects to life in a way that words never could.

PlanPoint: showing real-time unit availability solutions that had people stopping mid-walk to check it out.

Elecom: the screens made everything pop. Literally.

Every day at 5 p.m., we joined the traditional MIPIM apéro/cocktails on the booth. It's a ritual at the event—everyone stops, has a drink, and the conversations get a little looser, a little more honest. Some of our best connections happened during those moments.

Every morning, we'd stop by the Montreal booth to say hi and catch up with the home team. It's a small thing, but when you're 5,000 kilometers from home, seeing familiar faces matters. Plus, the Montreal presence at MIPIM is always strong—it's a reminder that our city punches well above its weight in the global real estate world.

Sun, Croissants, and Strategy

Let's be honest: Cannes in March is a nice change from Montreal in March. The sun was out all week, and we took full advantage. French croissants every morning became our ritual (and maybe our downfall), and exploring the city between meetings was a welcome break from the intensity of the event floor 🥐

But it wasn't all fun and pastries. The work was real. Late-night prep sessions. Early-morning strategy calls. Making sure every demo was tailored to the person sitting across from us. MIPIM is exhausting in the best way.

We felt the absence of the Middle East this year. We're thinking about what's happening in the region. The exception was Oman 🇴🇲—we had fantastic conversations with their delegation and a few developers. It was a real pleasure.

What happens next

We're home now, and the real work begins. We've got a stack of hot leads: developers who want in-depth demos, partners who want to explore integrations, and customers who want to see how Onyx can transform their operations.

The team on the ground (Marc Olivier, Sébastien, Mark, and Charlotte) gave everything they had. And behind the scenes, Virginie kept everything running smoothly while we were away. It takes a team to pull off a week like this, and we're grateful for every single person who contributed.

Four years in, and MIPIM keeps getting better. The connections, the conversations, the energy: it's why we make the trip every year.

If you were at MIPIM and stopped by P1-E1, thank you. If we missed you this year, let's make sure we connect in 2027.

Until then, we've got work to do.

Built in Canada. Trusted globally. See you in Cannes next year.
